| No, he died because of old age and also that when the Emperor tried to electricute Luke Skywalker he touched him thus causing him to absorb the energy being weakened and then let go of the Emperor killing him. So with the two elements of old age and that Force Electricity, he harmed himself and killed himself. So technically speaking, he would be the only powerful person in the universe if he had not saved his son. | |

| This is rediculous. Vader could not beat the rebels alone... EVER. Does he know how to operate the whole death star alone? CAN he do it alone? Can he command fleets of thousands with no one driving any of the cruisers/fighters? Can he defeat an army of 200,000 and live? No. He could not. No one could. Not even Revan could, and he was just about one of the strongest beings ever to exist. | |
